Softball Game Preview: Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars vs. Sunnyside Christian Knights

The Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars will square off against the Sunnyside Christian Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Tri-Cities Prep has given up an average of 15.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tri-Cities Prep lost 17-2 to Columbia on Friday. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Sunnyside Christian hadn't done well against Liberty Christian recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Knights walked away with a 10-5 win over the Patriots.

Sunnyside Christian's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 9-5. As for Tri-Cities Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Tri-Cities Prep might still be hurting after the 25-12 defeat they got from Sunnyside Christian when the teams last played back in March of 2015. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
