Ridge Community got themselves on the board against Winter Haven on Thursday, but Winter Haven never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over the Winter Haven Blue Devils. The Bolts pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Devils had little chance of recovering from.

A big part of Ridge Community's win came down to the chemistry between Gabriela Gomez and her top target Abegael Benoit. Gomez threw for 88 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of her passes while Benoit gained 113 total yards and three touchdowns.

The victory got Ridge Community back to even at 1-1. As for Winter Haven, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Ridge Community wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 27-19 win against McKeel Academy on the 25th.
