Tyrone extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 5-3 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Dragons. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 11-4 to the Dragons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Carter Price was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.
At the plate, Tyrone saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was A Walk, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Walk has hit this season.
As for Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those six runs were actually the fewest they have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
On Central's side, they got a big performance out of Troy McNichol, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Dilling, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.
