Football Game Preview: West St. Mary Wolfpack vs. Catholic - N.I. Panthers

West St. Mary is 0-10 against Catholic - N.I. since September of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Wolfpack will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. West St. Mary will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Friday, West St. Mary earned a 24-12 win over Delcambre.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Catholic - N.I. and Loreauville meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Panthers took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. That makes it the first time this season the Panthers have let down their home crowd.

West St. Mary will have to contain Owen Morris as he made an impact in Catholic - N.I.'s last game. He rushed for 105 yards and one score.

West St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Catholic - N.I., their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

West St. Mary was dealt a bruising 51-0 loss at the hands of Catholic - N.I. in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Wolfpack, Luke Landry (who threw for 247 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt) won't be suiting up this time.
