Recap: King Mustangs vs. Carroll Tigers
The King Mustangs were the 52-51 winner over the Carroll Tigers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. King took a 65-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carroll on Saturday. While losing is never fun, King can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1228th, while Carroll is ranked 275th).
It was another big night for Braedon Gomez, who scored 26 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks for Carroll. Another player making a difference was Daniel Sanchez, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals.
This is the second loss in a row for King and nudges their season record down to 3-10. As for Carroll, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
King has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Annapolis Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Carroll's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ray at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
