Basketball Recap: Hobbton Victorious + How To Watch

Hobbton hadn't done well against Midway recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 58-50. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 55-45 win the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Amir Tate went supernova, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 28 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Those 28 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Simpson, who posted 14 points and six rebounds.

Hobbton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Midway, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Hobbton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
