Baseball Game Preview: Lake City Tigers vs. Byron Bears

Lake City and Byron are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Tigers will take on the Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake City is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Byron hit Lake City with a four-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers fell 9-4 to the Bears.

Lake City saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Fleming, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Carter West also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Byron and bumps their season record up to 8-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Lake City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
