Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Georgetown couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wagner Thunderbirds. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

It was another big night for La Sneed, who dropped a double-double with 33 points and 11 rebounds for Wagner. The match was Sneed's seventh in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jenae Moore, who posted 12 points.

Georgetown's loss dropped their record down to 33-5. As for Wagner, the victory (which was their 25th in a row) raised their record to 34-3.

Georgetown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wagner, they will face off against Ryan at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ryan will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Wagner surely won't give up without a fight.
