Soccer Recap: Bluffton Comes Up Short

Bluffton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the River Bluff Gators. One thing that didn't help Bluffton's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Ethan Simpson.

Bluffton's goal came courtesy of Osmar Martinez, who's now up to two this season.

Bluffton's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for River Bluff, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Bluffton will head out on the road to take on Oceanside Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for River Bluff, they will be playing at home against J.L. Mann at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
