Baseball Recap: Northgate Comes Up Short

Northgate fell victim to Shenango and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 17-0 to the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Monday.

Northgate dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Shenango, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Northgate has already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Fort Cherry on the 15th. As for Shenango, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-2 loss against New Brighton on the 14th.
