Basketball Recap: Evansville Christian Eagles vs. Northeast Dubois Jeeps
Evansville Christian kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 61-32 loss at the hands of the Northeast Dubois Jeeps. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Eagles struggled afterwards.
Evansville Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaleb Richard, who scored four points plus six rebounds and two blocks. The dominant performance also gave Richard a new career-high in offensive rebounds (three). Another player making a difference was Hunter Redd, who had eight points.
Evansville Christian will head out on the road to take on Castle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northeast Dubois, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Washington Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
