Volleyball Recap: Benton Central Comes Up Short

Benton Central lost against Lake Central back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bison fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1.

McKenna Yadon paced Benton Central's offense, picking up 13 kills. Yadon got some help from Madison Minniear and her 20 assists. Minniear was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading Lake Central to victory were Isabella Steliga and Brooklyn Barth. Steliga had 11 assists and seven digs, while Barth had eight digs and two assists.

Benton Central's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Lake Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Benton Central has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against South Newton on the 29th. As for Lake Central, they will challenge Portage at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
