Softball Game Preview: Beaver Beavers vs. Kanab Cowboys

Beaver has gone a perfect 10-0 against Kanab recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Beaver Beavers will take on the Kanab Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. Beaver is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Beaver is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by an 18-1 margin over Kanab on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Beavers.

Brindee Carter was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Carter was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Aspyn Evans and Lexi Hafen did most of the damage at the plate: Evans scored two runs while going 1-for-4, while Hafen scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Evans a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Tylee Marshall, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Beaver always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kanab only posted an OBP of .154.

Beaver now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Kanab, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Beaver has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kanab struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
