Meanwhile, Ipswich played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Lynnfield, falling 34-14. The Tigers have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Ipswich now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Essex Tech, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
