Basketball Recap: De Anza Comes Up Short

De Anza lost against El Cerrito back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The De Anza Dons were dealt a 68-38 loss at the hands of the El Cerrito Gauchos. The Dons were down 55-33 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

De Anza lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jacari Madison, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Malakai Wise, who scored 15 points.

De Anza's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for El Cerrito, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.

De Anza wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-38 victory against Hercules on the 31st. As for El Cerrito, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 77-53 win against Kennedy on the 30th.
