Volleyball Recap: Landry Boyett Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Community Christian Academy

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Appling Christian Academy were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Community Christian Academy.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Appling Christian Academy took every set by at least 19 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-3, 25-3.

Appling Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Landry Boyett out in front who had ten aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Brailey Hulett, who had ten aces.

They weren't the only good server: Appling Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 26 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Appling Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Appling Christian Academy will venture away from home to face off against Victory Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 26th. Community Christian Academy will be paying especially close attention to Appling Christian Academy's contest: after Appling Christian Academy faces off against Victory Christian Academy, they'll take on Community Christian Academy again on the 28th.
