Volleyball Recap: Mount Vernon Gets the Win + How To Watch

Mount Vernon took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Mabank, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Panthers 2-1. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mount Vernon got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 15-13.

Mount Vernon's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Mabank, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Mount Vernon has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Como-Pickton on the 19th. As for Mabank, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Scurry-Rosser on the 19th.
