After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hopedale, Holliston was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Westwood Wolverines as they made off with an 11-2 win. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Emily Hegerich made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Hegerich was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Skylar MacDonald was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Caroline Harris was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Holliston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westwood only posted an OBP of .333.

Holliston's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Westwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Holliston will head out on the road to square off against Millis at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westwood, they will host Fontbonne Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
