DENVER, Colo. - The defense contributed on the scoring end for
Lone Peak (Highland, Utah) on Saturday, totaling 13 points as the Knights beat Mullen (Denver, Colo.) 48-10.
After taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter, the Knights were up 40-3 at the half.
Lone Peak grew its lead to 45 points entering the fourth quarter. LP scored once in the quarter on a defensive touchdown.
Baron GAJKOWSKI and
Erik OSTROM ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Mustangs. GAJKOWSKI scored two touchdowns on the ground and OSTROM added two as well.
Mullen's lone touchdown came on a 65-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Highland school, which lost to Alta last week, 35-17.
