Volleyball Recap: Water Canyon Comes Up Short

Water Canyon and Rich squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Water Canyon had to settle for second. They came up short against the Rebels, falling 3-0.

Leading Rich to victory were Tess Cornia and Paige Smith. Cornia had six digs and three aces, while Smith had ten digs and two aces. Cornia has been hot, having also posted 14 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Water Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Rich, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-11.

Water Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Piute on the 24th. As for Rich, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Monticello on the 24th.
