Basketball Recap: Pittsfield Takes a Loss

Pittsfield was the 45-39 winner over Liberty when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The game between the Pittsfield Saukees and the Liberty Eagles didn't end well, with the Pittsfield Saukees falling 71-54. The Saukees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Jack Sparrow, who went 11-for-15 en route to 39 points and eight boards for Liberty. The dominant performance gave Sparrow a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vince Cramsey, who posted 11 points and six steals.

Pittsfield's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Liberty, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-12.

Looking ahead, Pittsfield will head out to take on Illini West at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Illini West will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Pittsfield surely won't give up without a fight. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
