Basketball Game Preview: Mattanawcook Lynx vs. Woodland Dragons

The Mattanawcook Lynx will head out to challenge the Woodland Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mattanawcook has 16 straight victories, Woodland has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Mattanawcook humbled Sumner with a 93-39 victory. The Lynx have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Woodland didn't have quite enough to beat Jonesport-Beals on Friday and fell 54-52.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Mattanawcook, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-0.

Mattanawcook was able to grind out a solid victory over Woodland when the teams last played last Friday, winning 71-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mattanawcook since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
