Softball Game Preview: Wayne Falcons vs. Nodaway Valley Wolverines

Wayne has gone a perfect 7-0 against Nodaway Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Falcons will welcome the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Wayne is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Wayne's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Moravia as they made off with a 9-0 win. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by nine runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nodaway Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Central Decatur 12-11. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wolverines' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Wayne's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Nodaway Valley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
