Baseball Recap: Sigourney Beats Keota for Their Ninth Straight Victory

Sigourney put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Keota Eagles. The Savages have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Sigourney pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Keota, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Sigourney wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 18-5 victory against Belle Plaine on the 10th. As for Keota, they will head out on the road to face off against English Valleys at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.71 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
