Volleyball Recap: Austin Mustangs vs. Spring Woods Tigers
Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spring Woods Tigers.
Austin started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-13.
Spring Woods can attribute much of their success to Andrea Garcia, who had four aces.
Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Spring Woods, their victory bumped their record up to 6-19.
Austin will be playing at home against Waltrip at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2014, but likely not for long. As for Spring Woods, they are on the road again on Friday to play Madison at 5:00 p.m. Madison will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Spring Woods surely won't give up without a fight.
