Monarch had won seven straight home games and Maya Singh did her part to make it eight on Friday. The Coyotes came out on top in a nail-biter against the Longmont Trojans, sneaking past 3-2 with plenty of help from Singh, who had 30 digs and five aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Monarch took Longmont into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-15, 25-9, 16-25, 18-16.

Monarch's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Longmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Monarch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Horizon on the 28th. As for Longmont, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Mead on the 28th.
