Northside and Clemente are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northside knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Clemente likes a good challenge.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Northside and Westinghouse had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 19-7 victory on Wednesday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Jesse Nick and John Piper did most of the damage at the plate: Nick fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances, while Piper went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Clemente's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Farragut on Wednesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Admirals recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Northside pushed their record up to 14-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Clemente, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
