Softball Recap: Bonanza Comes Up Short

Bonanza was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 24-0 to the Illinois Valley Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 on Tuesday.

Bonanza's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Illinois Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Coming up, Bonanza will square off against Riddle at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Irish have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.11 runs per game on average), something the Antlers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Illinois Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Oakridge on Tuesday.
