Basketball Recap: Park City Miners vs. Cottonwood Colts
Park City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 52-25 loss at the hands of the Cottonwood Colts. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-25 back in December of 2024.

Dylan Radziukinas and Mallory Carter certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Radziukinas posted nine points and six rebounds, while Carter put up three points and five steals. Those five steals gave Carter a new career-high.
It was another big night for Taylor Workman, who scored 17 points along with six assists and six boards for Cottonwood. Workman has been hot recently, having also posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Avea Van Der Beek was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Park City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Cottonwood, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
Park City will head out to take on Tooele at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Tooele will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Park City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cottonwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 41-38 loss against Jordan on the 23rd.
