Baseball Recap: Wyalusing Valley Find Success

While Wyalusing Valley's victory against Tunkhannock wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Wyalusing Valley narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Tunkhannock 1-0. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jared Vandemark looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Wyalusing Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenny Mapes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Wyalusing Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wyalusing Valley will take on Troy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tunkhannock, they will square off against Montrose at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
