Immokalee is 8-2 against East Lee County since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Immokalee Indians will square off against the East Lee County Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Immokalee is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Pahokee: they outscored them in every quarter. Immokalee blew past Pahokee 58-35 on Friday. That looming 58-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Indians yet this season.

Immokalee found their leader in sophomore Timarian Howard, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 17 points and four steals. That's the most steals Howard has posted since back in November of 2024. Jose Marquez was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 14 points.
Meanwhile, East Lee County ended up a good deal behind Gateway on Thursday and lost 81-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (59), the Jaguars still had to take the loss.
Immokalee will need focus on slowing down Joel Trujillo, one of several East Lee County players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6 of 14 on his way to 16 points and seven boards. Trujillo has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tobias Jean-Louis, who posted 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, East Lee County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive matches.
East Lee County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Immokalee, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Immokalee has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.4 boards per game. However, it's not like East Lee County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Immokalee beat East Lee County 48-40 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Immokalee since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
