Soccer Recap: Wharton Comes Up Short

Wharton and Wiregrass Ranch squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Wharton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Josie Barie, who's now up to 11 this season.

Wharton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5-2. As for Wiregrass Ranch, their win bumped their record up to 9-7-3.

Wharton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they will take on Sunlake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sunlake will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Wiregrass Ranch surely won't give up without a fight.
