Preview: Glenwood Titans vs. Edwardsville Tigers
Glenwood is 0-4 against Edwardsville since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Glenwood Titans will head out on the road to challenge the Edwardsville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Glenwood will be strutting in after a victory while Edwardsville will be coming in after a defeat.
Glenwood's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-49 win over Ladue Horton Watkins.
It was another big night for Alexis Neumann, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Makenna Yeager was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Edwardsville suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 67-36 defeat at the hands of Alton. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Edwardsville struggled afterwards.
Glenwood's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Edwardsville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-9.
Glenwood was dealt a bruising 75-33 loss at the hands of Edwardsville in their previous matchup back in February of 2019. Can Glenwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
