Volleyball Recap: Trinity Snags Tenth Win in Last 12 Games

Trinity won the last time they faced Wheatmore and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1.

Trinity was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 17-25, 25-17.

Avery Moffitt paced Trinity's offense, picking up 17 kills. Moffitt got some help from Avalynn Johnson and her 41 assists. Moffitt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Wheatmore's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arabella Grant, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Trinity has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for Wheatmore, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Trinity didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Providence Grove on the 14th. Wheatmore has also already played their next match (against East Davidson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
