The Berlin/New Lebanon Mountain Lions will venture away from home to take on the Tamarac Bengals at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Berlin/New Lebanon has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight defeats, while Tamarac will come in with nine straight wins.
Berlin/New Lebanon lost 14-3 to Mechanicville on Thursday.
Savannah Hammon ?29 made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Ada Hotaling ?29 also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, while Tamarac put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Emma Willard. The Bengals blew past the Jesters 15-0. The Bengals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
Kenlyn Ferris made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Ferris was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Mihaly Blake was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Erin Lee, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Tamarac always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Emma Willard only posted an OBP of .062.
Tamarac pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.9 runs this season. As for Berlin/New Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Berlin/New Lebanon might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Tamarac in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Mountain Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
