Cary hasn't had much luck against Middle Creek recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Imps will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Cary is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Cary had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Holly Springs put an end to it on Wednesday. The Imps took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Hawks. The contest marked the Imps' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Middle Creek suffered their biggest loss since March 11th on Thursday. They lost 17-7 to Garner. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Trojans since Thursday.

Caden Miner and Jackson Sessoms did some serious damage despite the final result: Miner got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, while Sessoms went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Middle Creek is 5-1 when Miner posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

Middle Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Cary, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

Cary was able to grind out a solid win over Middle Creek in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 6-3. Will the Imps repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
