Grossmont won the last time they faced Mater Dei Catholic and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Grossmont Foothillers walked away with a 5-1 win over the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Foothillers.

Luis Camargo looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Max Tufugafale, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Burke, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4.

Grossmont's record is now 2-0. As for Mater Dei Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grossmont will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Westview at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they will venture away from home to take on Vista at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
