Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kingsford). They blew past the Ishpeming Hematites 13-1 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Flivvers in their matchups with the Hematites: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Anna Bortolini, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Rice, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Kingsford's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Ishpeming, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Kingsford will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hematites: the pair will be back at it again later today.
