Basketball Recap: Sebeka Comes Up Short

Sebeka was the 78-60 winner over Swanville when they last played one another back in December of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Sebeka Trojans took a 79-63 bruising from the Swanville Bulldogs on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Sebeka still got an impressive performance from Max Lake, who went 8-for-18 to rack up 26 points along with seven assists and five steals. The matchup was Lake's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Parker Kiser was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Sebeka and nudges their season record down to 7-15. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for Swanville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11.

Looking ahead, Sebeka will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Browerville at 7:30 p.m. Swanville has already played their next contest (against Osakis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
