The Flagler Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Bethune Bobcats at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Flagler is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 32.5 points per game this season.

Flagler is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Miami-Yoder, posting a 62-6 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Flagler didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Gabe Harvey.

Meanwhile, Bethune didn't have quite enough to beat Kiowa on Friday and fell 47-44. The Bobcats have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Flagler will have to contain Ismael Perla as he made an impact in Bethune's last game. He rushed for 210 yards and four scores while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also caught one TD. Thanks to that big game, Perla is now up to 9 rushing touchdowns on the season. Another player making a difference was Angel Millan, who rushed for 65 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries.

Bethune's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Flagler, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Saturday's contest might be decided on the ground. Flagler has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 196.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bethune struggles in that department as they've been averaging 219 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Flagler took their win against Bethune when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 42-19 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
