Soccer Game Preview: Mission Vista vs. Sonora

Mission Vista and the Sonora Raiders will round out the year against one another at at 5:10 p.m. on Friday. Mission Vista's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, Mission Vista and La Jolla finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw.

Joshua Amador and Sebastian Pedersen Howard scored both of Mission Vista's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Meanwhile, Sonora had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.4 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They put the hurt on the Tillers with a sharp 4-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won three matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Sonora's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five games. Mission Vista's draw gives them a new season record of 2-1-3.
