Coronado and Canyon Hills are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Coronado Islanders will challenge the Canyon Hills Rattlers at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Coronado's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

Last Friday, Coronado came up short against Mira Mesa and fell 67-60. While losing is never fun, the Islanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 586th, while the Marauders are ranked 143rd).

Meanwhile, Canyon Hills played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 56-35 to Madison. The Rattlers have struggled against the Warhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Coronado dropped their record down to 11-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Canyon Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

Coronado strolled past Canyon Hills in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 52-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coronado since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
