North Sequoia recap November 5, 2013

Washington Union extended the longest winning streak in North Sequoia this week by beating Yosemite, 43-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Panthers.

Liberty scaled the state rankings by moving to 379 from 431 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Hawks climbed the ranks as a result of topping Kerman 34-7.

Zach Richey put up the best numbers through the air as Liberty beat the Lions. He finished with a total of 10 completions for 190 yards and 1 touchdown. Richey's favorite target this week was Travis Jordan, who caught 6 passes for 102 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Luis Escobedo and Javin Harrison, Washington Union has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Escobedo leads the league in passing with 1,329 yards, while Harrison has rushed for 1,276 yards this season. Mike Nolte's team's Jordan leads the league in receiving yards with 670 on 34 catches.

Chowchilla's Troy Uphoff is a mere 89 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 128 carries Uphoff has accumulated 911 yard this year.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Dennis Randle's team takes on Kerman. As it stands, the Panthers are in second, while JD Burnett's team is in third.

The Badgers fell to Washington Union 43-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
