After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Lumpkin County, White County was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They secured  a  25-20 W over the Dawson County Tigers. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
The critical scores for White County came from  Zach Godfrey,  Gaines Clark,  and  Alex Freeman.
 White County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Godfrey and  Reid Penrose.
 Despite the loss, Dawson County still got an impressive performance from   Cody Mcbrayer, who rushed for 129 yards and one  TD on only 13 carries. Mcbrayer's longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
White County's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Dawson County, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. White County is set to  take on  their familiar foe Greater Atlanta Christian  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Dawson County will  face off against  rival Chestatee  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. That  contest will pit two of the most dominant  backs against one another:  Mcbrayer and  Benjamin Plemons.
