Softball Recap: Macon-East Montgomery Academy Takes a Loss

Macon-East Montgomery Academy was the 16-13 winner over Evangel Christian when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights lost 12-2 to the Lightning on Friday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Evangel Christian, they moved to 15-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Evangel Christian will look to defend their home field on Monday against Bessemer Academy at 4:00 p.m. The Lightning will need to watch out since the Rebels have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. Macon-East Montgomery Academy will be paying especially close attention to Evangel Christian's match: after Evangel Christian faces off against Wiregrass, they'll take on Macon-East Montgomery Academy again at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
