Basketball Recap: Highlands Falls Short Against Ranked Simon Kenton

On Tuesday, Highlands faced Simon Kenton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Highlands Bluebirds fell to the Simon Kenton Pioneers 44-40. The Bluebirds were not able to make up for their loss to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Simon Kenton, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

When Highlands and Simon Kenton next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Highlands will try to stop Beechwood's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Simon Kenton will challenge Carroll County and their three-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
