Basketball Recap: Lanier Christian Academy's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lanier Christian Academy). They strolled past the Victory Baptist Warrior with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 53-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lightning also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lanier Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adelyn Gough, who posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks. With that strong performance, Gough is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game. Julianne Roberts was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 13 points and six boards.

Lanier Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Lanier Christian Academy, bringing their record up to 6-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points on average over those games. As for Victory Baptist, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
