Baseball Game Preview: Erasmus Hall Dutchmen vs. Roosevelt Cougars

The Erasmus Hall Dutchmen will take on the Roosevelt Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Erasmus Hall and 23 for Roosevelt dating back to last season.

Grady hit Erasmus Hall with a ten-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Dutchmen came up short against the Falcons, falling 15-1.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Roosevelt's offense. They lost 25-0 to New Utrecht on Tuesday.

Erasmus Hall's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Erasmus Hall beat Roosevelt 10-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dutchmen since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
