Basketball Recap: Strom Thurmond Victorious

There's no place like home for Strom Thurmond, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They slipped by the Midland Valley Mustangs 25-24 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Mustangs two weeks ago, they had to take a 43-36 loss.

Strom Thurmond's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Midland Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strom Thurmond and Aiken will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Midland Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Midland Valley is facing Laney at the right time seeing as Laney is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
