Soccer Recap: Benjamin Takes a Loss

After soaring to nine goals the game before, Benjamin was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Boca Raton Bobcats by a score of 1-0. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Buccaneers couldn't quite close it out.

Benjamin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-2 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Boca Raton, the win got them back to even at 4-4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benjamin will welcome Vero Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Boca Raton, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against American Heritage at 7:30 p.m. Boca Raton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
